MARK HILL - writer guy
I am a storyteller.
It's all I can do. I can't do anything else.
I can't fix the plumbing. I can't repair a broken-down car. I can barely operate the washer/dryer. My mobile phone is a mystery to me.
But I can tell a story.
I can figure out what the story is and tell it in a clear and compelling way.
I've been doing it for years, mostly in Europe. I've written and done strategy for some of Europe's biggest brands – Barclays Bank, General Motors, HSBC, Renault, SONY, Cisco, Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, and many many more.
I don't do routine stuff. I don't blather on in a boring corporate way spouting the same old clichés about "leading provider" or "solutions" because people have seen this stuff time and time again and have learned to ignore it.
There are plenty of people in this town who do that sort of thing; I am not one of them.
But if you need a slightly weird person who can come into your business and look around and really listen and ask some pretty direct and perhaps uncomfortable questions and eventually figure out what you're all about and then spend a lot of time just wandering about town with a notepad just thinking and eventually turn that understanding into a story that people will want to read, then I'm your guy.
My goal in life is to work with people creating or running interesting businesses. I respect people like that.
I'm no business wizard. I can't tell you how to run your business. You know that stuff much better than me.
But what I can do is tell your story to the world.
